London Travel Guide Offline App Reviews

I found the menu confusing and generally not user friendly. The information for restaurants are real basic and you are much better off using a traditional guide. I have been annoying people waiting for me, when I was trying to figure out how to navigate in the menus or find a location. The Icons are not self explanatory. The database is weak. I cant recommend this app.

My initial impression of this app was positive. After using this on my trip to London where I tried to use the app, I found the use of the maps app on the iPhone to be more useful.

We are in London now . So far so good on this app . I will be using it a lot and I think it will be very useful and so far it has given me places to visit that I did not now about.

We are in London for a week and use this constantly! Love that it shows all the theatre available in one easy spot. Would have loved it even more if there was a synopsis of each play with ratings, only some of the plays had this. Be sure to go see Priscilla at the Palace. The most fun weve ever had at the theatre!!!!

We used this app during our recent trip. Recommended!

Needed help with loading but is useful here in London this week.

I recently took a trip to London with a local travel agency. What my travel group failed to mention was that our hotel was no where near central London. Without this App I would have been totally lost. It not only helped me plan out the things I wanted to see, but it was a lifesaver for navigating the Tube station. I would very highly recommend getting this app for your trip.

On an extended trip to London, I downloaded a dozen London apps after much research. If I could only keep one it would be this one hands down. The downloaded map works with GPS even with no wifi, data or cell service.

Worked very well for a 3 day weekend in London. Pictures, maps, descriptions of attractions all well done. Best feature by far is ability to find things near by your destination so you can plan hitting multiple attractions, eat between them, etc.

We recently traveled to London and Rome and I bought the app for both cities. I also bought two guides which helped me plan the overall trip, but what this app offered was the ability to download maps offline and find great little restaurants, bars, pubs and places of interest based on a location youre at. For example, we would go to the tower of London, and use this app to find reviews for restaurants in the area. We did the same in Rome, plan to visit a landmark using the guides we bought and then use this app to find other things lose to our location. Not having to be connected to the Internet is great and being able to finds almost anything based on your location is even better. In London, we also found the Underground Map a great resource and again, we could download it to view without Internet connection.

Its offline, is extremely simple to organize your itinerary, comes with one-touch downloadable maps of the Underground, and even has an updatable calendar of events. BUY THIS APP! You will thank me! In fact, this whole companys series of city travel guides is extremely useful. I have the Paris, Rome, and Vienna ones as well. Again, its offline, so you need not worry about roaming/data charges. Cannot say enough good things about this app!

This app is great but took me 5 hours to downloan on a fast conection. so before you buy it make sure you have lots of time to download before you need to use it.

So far have only used the app in planning stages for which it is highly useful. The real test comes in a few weeks during our visit.

Ive recently downloaded this app and its excellent. Highly recommended.

Travel: Tells you where the closest tube is but does not tell u how to get there. No bus routes. List of places to visit is far from complete. Details are sparse, directs you to the website - defeats the offline premise! I found myself using other free apps more often. $3.99 wasted!

Love the offline option

Couldnt ask for more in a travel app. So easy to use. Links you to the best sights then lets you know where to find nearby food, transportation, and other fun activities. So much better than a book. My son lives in London and he now recommends this app to his friends when they visit.
